Luberón

"Luberón" 32 x 36 acrylic and gouache on canvas by Kerry Steele

Yesterday I was a painting maniac. I started around 8 am and stopped to shower and go out to a late lunch with the whole family. I didn't last 10 minutes once home and painted past midnight.
I just finished this abstract landscape this morning. I feel like the colors in my photo are not true but it is hard to tell what you see. There are varied lavenders, both muddy and vibrant. I used both red based and yellow based blues and the yellows range from ochre to bright lemon. Small areas of navy, orange and green round out the palette.

Yesterday's post highlighted my inspiration.
How do you feel about my level of abstraction or the painting in general?
I love to hear your opinions and negative comments are OK too, as long as they are not mean spirited.

Wonderful! I'm sure the depth, movement and colors are even more amazing in person. Always wonderful to have a productive day in the studio. Cheers!
