This weekend I spent an hour or two flipping through the jumble named "old photo" on my computer. They were organized before I got a new laptop and now baby pictures, first days of school, relatives and inspiration files are one. I looked at my inspiration photos and was amazed at just how much my taste has changed in the last 2 1/2 years.
I think they call that fickle.
Here is a random assortment of shots that I may or may not still like.
this one makes me want to gouge my eyes out especially with that rug that needs to be fixed |
I still want to sleep here |
Are there looks that you loved a few years ago that you just can't stand anymore?

Over the years my taste has changed dramatically! I went from loving Mediterranean to Traditional, to French. I'm still in love French design but have added a bit of the Shabby with it. I love the old and weathered look. :)
My tastes have changed from when I first got married, yes, but 35 years later I find Im surrounded by things I love that I never tire of..just the background colors change. And the latest years have brought more layers...
Have a great week Kerry!

I would most definitely say my tastes have changed and I hope that continue to do so. Let's call it "growth" rather than fickle! Fun post, Kerri!

Call me boring, but my tastes are pretty much the same as they've always been, and if the photos of my room when I was in high school hadn't gone up in flames in a fire at my dad's house a few years ago, I could prove it.
As it is, the oldest photos I have only go back to the mid-1970s, but I could move back into my first apartment after college and still be perfectly happy with the way it looks. But then, how could I not be? When it comes to decorating, my motto is the same now as it was then: if it's not in style, it can't go out of style. You can't get much simpler than that.
Some of my taste has gone full circle. I got rid of things that I wish I had kept.
My tastes have changed quite a bit. I did lots of decorating in the 90s when everything had adornment. Now I want clean. I can't believe some of the fouffy stuff I used to like!
Hi Kerry - Soooo wonderful to finally meet today! Thank you for visiting. I'd love to hang out again. Yes, my taste has changed....but not too much. I still love my Swedish pieces. And, I'm still not fond of heavy, heavy wood ;)

Yes! My biggest frustration is that I genuinely love many different looks and it is really hard to focus on one style. That is why my house is a jumbled assortment!!
