raw materials

HERE
I don't need to tell you how popular sliced stone and hunks of rock crystals are. My grandfather worked with stones as a hobby for many years and when I see this trend I fondly remember him.
I can't help but consider the possibilities for a little project when I see these beauties I found via this Etsy seller.

These small pieces of agate would be a five minute DIY to make beautiful magnets. I just saw some in a catalog.

HERE
I have seen larger slices like the first photo as coasters. Buy a few, felt dots and make a swank set for yourself.
If you just don't want to DIY this Etsy seller (Johnyrocks) has great prices on simple hunks of pretty.

Hurry up, I might buy this!

Are you on board with this trend?

I do like it. It is hard to find one that feels right.

I love the turquoise agates. I have been looking for a reasonably priced piece of coral, but haven't found one yet. Even Home Goods is pricey on those! Have a great week!

I love stones and I didn't realize how simple it would be to create magnets. My grandson purchased a stone similar to the last one for us for Christmas. I love it!

Anything natural and organic, I love! Those are beautiful---such vivid hues. I would display them on top of coffee table books, window ledges, and bookcases.
Cheers,

I do like it, Kerri! I saw a post on another blog where pieces of rock crystal were mounted and framed. They were so simple and beautiful and I want to do this myself!
