Shark cage

Its not terribly pretty but it sure is functional.
We call it the shark cage but it really holds my paintings while they await a home.

My husband built this for me out of PVC pipe. I love it because, unlike lumber, it will not scratch the canvases and it is light enough to move myself. I am getting another for smaller works.
I just had to show off his handiwork.
Here is a bit of mine.

" By moon we sport and play" SOLD

" Six impossible things before breakfast" 18 x 24 acrylic on canvas

untitled painting on paper #52

That's a great idea. Probably not terribly expensive to make either.

My husband, like yours, loves to assist in so many ways with things I need, shipping crates, frames, etc. Nothing better than someone who can see your problems and fix with a great solution such as your husband did! This was a great idea, and yes, I can see how lightweight it can be, always a good thing! Yay!

Very, very smart. Thanks for sharing this - my son is in art school so I expect there may be a bunch of canvases coming home this spring. Creative post title too!

I think your storage solution is Perfect - practical and simple, and oh-so-sweet that it was made by your hubby. I really love your "six impossible things for breakfast painting", just don't have the budget for it now. :-)

I love a creative solution. Great job Mr. Design Du Monde. How do you come up with the names for your paintings?
