I recently saw a Mary McDonald drawing of a tented room and remembered how I loved the look of them as a child. They do have a certain romantic quality.
This heady David Hicks example is quite dramatic and I am sure impractical, but who cares?
If you are going to do something, do it all the way, right?
Could you you or would you make a tented room in your home or is it just the stuff of fantasy?

There was a time in my life, this would have been my dream room. Now, I have practical thoughts like, how do you vacuum it?
Fantasy for me, I would go nuts thinking about cleaning it! LOL! Dd you see Elvis's fabric covered basement in Graceland? Over-the-top, but man, he is after all ELVIS, so he could certainly pull off something like that. :-)
Hmmmmm, would be fun! And a total surprise for my house guests!

It's very "I Dream of Jeannie" to me! This room looks like it's missing some black light art and a hooka.
But to be positive, I do like the brass floor lamps!
