This is the best stuff for earthquake zones, people with children and pets or generally clumsy folks.
Museum putty is kind of like Silly Putty but it helps keep breakables in place.
I recently bought some and had not employed its use when a very careless cleaning lady knocked a family keepsake across the room, chipping it.
I wish I had discovered it years ago.
There are several brands. I bought this one.
I feel like I am the last person to discover this.

yes -this stuff is INVALUABLE -esp for those of us who are porcelain lovers! i have some porcelain lamps on my mantel that this putty has saved on a daily basis. I think once you have it you'll find more and more places to use it!
I know of it but I've never used it. I think it works to keep frames straight on the wall too.
I was just mentioning this to a client whose mirror near the garage door is constantly needing readjustment.
