In my dreams...

I have been meaning to show my bedroom here, nothing perfect but I quite like it. I thought a nice, sunny day like today provided the perfect opportunity. I knew there were a few items to pick and tidy but when I looked around it was so much messier than I realized. There were things out of place that had just become invisible to me. Does that happen to you? Do toss a sweater on a chair to be dealt with in a few minutes and a month later realize that its been there since Christmas. You never notice it even though you walk by it at least 10 times a day?
Oversharing....
Here are a few spaces that inspired my not-ready-for-primetime-bedroom.

Kelley Proxmire

Suzanne Kasler

It is all about the calming palette for me. I see many bedrooms that are really awesome but, for me, too stimulating. I favor bold colors around my house but I'd be thinking "Damn, that's cute" instead of sleeping in a room like that.
Stay tuned for a peek into my room...after I hang up clothes.

It is so true. We don't notice things in our home that we live with day to day.
I go through "change" each time I return after a few days away.
All of a sudden everything looks...out of place!

Amen Kerry! But based on your bedside table and art, I say, you can spruce up your bedroom in a jiff!

Finished my craft room already and just posted about it, check it out if you have the time! :-)

Of course that happens to me. I was going to show the towels that pile up in my bathroom, only it was so big....I just couldn't. I don't see it, and that's not good. Your images are perfect, and not "lived in".

Kerry I love these images in all their perfection...but I also love to walk into my bedroom to a bed that calls me back to the peace I just left hours earlier...it says "get back in here girl and cover up!"

I love the first (top) bedroom -- but
want a king-size bed. My husband
probably would hate it but like
the clean lines of the white bed or
the next to the last (gray)one. And
no rugs 'cuz we live in a HOT climate.

Love the one with the barley twist bed. It looks like it's got an ocean view which doesn't hurt.
