Monday must haves

I really want a modern (vintage or not) credenza/sideboard/dresser for my TV room.
I saw the perfect one for $175 on my local Craigslist and it was gone in hours. This one above is $595 and its been up for weeks.
I don't think that is a crazy price I just know I can get it for much less with patience.
Here are a few others I like.

This one is from the Conran collection now at JcPenney. Its on sale for $765.
I am still really mad at JCP for debuting the JA Happy Chic collection and having only a construction zone in my local store. It just reinforces my belief that  Fredericksburg is a dowdy, provincial place. My husband and I have a running argument about that. I am right but that is another post.

This credenza from the Jonathan Adler collection is on sale for $715 but the lone review is by a disgruntled customer that was not expecting "put it together" furniture. I don't blame her. The regular price is nearly $1200.

I have a feeling that my patience will be rewarded.
Do you patiently wait for deals?

I have no doubt that you will find one on CL. Stay away from the words Mid Century in your search. If they know enough to call it that, the price will reflect it.

Yes! Still waiting for a Simplex tea kettle at an estate sale (they're around $100 used on ebay and $200 new) and I JUST literally missed buying one for only $3 at an estate sale last weekend. Fingers crossed! It's fun to have something you want and to wait for it to come along as a deal!

I have NO patience!
But in cases as this, WAIT! Try real hard, I know, I understand, it will be worth it in the end!

Hi Kerry! I do have the perfect dresser for you dang it! I paid $175 for mine and cannot believe my good fortune. Keep checking craigslist. Yours will turn up! PS I had the same thing happen at our JCP when I went specifically to see the new JA collection. Construction zone. : (

You will find the perfect thing. I'm looking on CL too and have recently expanded my search to include everything up to an hour away. Hopefully that will help!

I love the very 1st one Kerry - yup, patience is key, especially if you can 'live without' that piece for a while. But if it's a REAL NEED, I grab something I like once I see it already. Good luck! :-)
