Take my breath away tile

OK, I sort of unofficially promised not to just grab images from Pinterest as the main subject for a post...but I saw this tile and actually gasped. So one more time, a Pinterest grab.

I am especially fond of this shape tile. It reminds me of my early childhood when this stuff was frequently seen and I think my grandmother had a linoleum version (in blue) in her kitchen.
The idea of having a warm, cozy wood version really thrills me. I am too hard on my floors. Not being the super fussy type.. who am I kidding, I totally uptight about my floors but worrying about something like this might put me over the edge.

Do you have a favorite tile?

If I had to pick one, it would be subway tile. However, I found tile shopping really hard....sooo much loveliness.

I haven't had a backsplash in my kitchen since we renovated ... 5 years ago!! I am about to bite the bullet. But I cannot make a decision on this one. I am copping out and taking the simple road. So much beauty! The floors ... oh, I have to be practical, but these are gorgeousness!! xo

OMG....Are they wood? I have never seen anything like this.
Wow....
How would they "flow" with the adjoining spaces. That's always been what has directed my choices.

i'm about to rip out tile just this shape in a dirty off-white color in my bathroom! haha I'm hoping the original blue, white and black mosaic tile is underneath (I think it is!). Should I try to save you some? haha

Hey Kerry - first of all - love your new blog header! And I also love the shape of this tile and recently pulled up the linoleum version from a few of our bathrooms. I love the traditional hex and and basketweave floor tiles - so classic and always looks great!

It reminds me of puzzle pieces. I didn't know you could buy a wood flooring like this one. Very unusual! :)

In terms of tile design, I personally like mosaic tiles. Aside from lending a unique atmosphere, they also add a sense of warmth to a space. I do love the tile design in the picture. It really fooled me into thinking it was made of wood. It’s got this warm, rustic feel to it.
