I had a hard time even choosing a category to select my item. I have a thing for trinket boxes and decided to start there, ultimately selecting the "nautilus" soapstone box.
It arrived beautifully wrapped.
Inside, was also a card from the artist who obviously put a great deal of work into his craft.
A section of their mission statement is:
"We want you to know about who you're buying from. We want you to feel
that attachment to the product and to the hands that created it."
It really is remarkable to have a note from the human being who created an item that you have purchased, a far cry from the big box stores that many of us frequent.

I've made several purchases from Novica over the years. I purchased a hand carved wood set of statues of a husband and wife praying to the heavens and some gorgeous jewelry too.They have so many beautiful items I could browse for hours on their site. For today though, I popped over and found a lovely stone jewelry box "Edelweiss by Juan Licas Cornado. Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks so much for the opportunity to be included in your giveaway! :)
Novica is so great for gift items -just in time for christmas. I love the Gold plated filigree cufflinks. Novica is great for jewelry and you know you're helping out artists in 3rd world countries.
I love this site for unique and well-crafted pieces. I am crushing on the rattan beaded baskets at the moment, I also love the batik cotton wall hanging called "Quiet afternoon" , hmm would be awesome in the bedroom. Hope I win! :-)

Kerry I love Novica! Since my surgeries I have been cold all of the time. The wraps and ruanas caught my eye and I love the Alpaca Blend Hot Cherry! In the close ups it is gorgeous!
