Oh so strange

I'm feeling a little defensive about my pathetic holiday decorations.
Just not feelin' it in a big way.
This frightening monkey (?) is not mine but I thought I'd show you a few odd and sometimes rather rude
Christmas decorations because its hilarious and disturbing.

Potty humor and the birth of Christ-- not a combination I normally think of.

More Christmas poop. This one is for is for your creche.

These are just weird.

Just rude.
Years ago a pal of mine had a business selling handmade novelty soap. At  Halloween the clear bars had bugs and bats, etc.
She decided it would be neat to market a pickle soap to the Heinz museum in Pittsburgh. She found a pickle mold and whipped up a batch of pickle soap. On the day of her appointment with the buyer the woman was so appalled by the phallic appearance she did not buy any and told my friend that they were gross!
I laughed really hard and think of that story every time I see that pickle ornament.

You need to have these put up on Pinterest Are You Drunk. Too funny...and a bit strange.

Very strange indeed ... and I have to admit to owning the Pickle! A friend gave me one many years ago accompanied with the Christmas morning game ritual of hiding the Pickle ... and whichever kid finds it gets a special (silly) gift. How did this become part of our Christmas? I have no idea, but the kids love it!! xo

I goofed up and had to remove my comment.

I think you can just about find anything in any shape if you are looking for something different in the way of Christmas ornaments these days. The pickle story is hilarious! Ha

Some of those are really crazy - yikes. The pickle one though is a German, sometimes Irish, tradition. The child that finds the pickle in the morning gets a special gift under the tree. We're Irish American and have a pickle in our tree that looks just like that one.

Hahaha! I agree that some of these ornament makers tend to go too humurous and frankly, just tasteless just to make some money. But anyhow, people still buy'em for laughs, I guess, it's still the thought that counts in the end. ;-)
