Room of the week

I am a sucker for beautiful clutter. Too fussy or just right?

  1. I always call it cheerful clutter and I love it!

  2. While I am always editing out my own "clutter of finds" or at least rotating them I adore seeing a room like this. I think that is why I loved Slatkin's Fifth Avenue Style so much!

  3. I think it's called a beautiful life in action. And, I must say, such a nice relief from all the all white rooms that are every where.

  6. Its just right because everything has a place. Not like my dining room table where everything lands, and it is just clutter!

  7. I think there are a couple of things that make this room work. First, it really is beautiful clutter. Every piece is lovely, so it feels being inside a marvelous little jewel box. It also helps that the ceilings are high so it feels graceful not claustrophobic. The other clever thing is that although it seems sort of mis-matchy and bohemian, they actually used an analogous color scheme, which unifies it all.

  8. I think I am with you, except surfaces should be ordered. Maybe the clutter I like is visual, i.e. many textures and tones of the same color? Have subscribed to your blog:).
