Nooks

Small, tucked away reading nooks hold great appeal to so many as an fantasy escape spot that can actually be attained.
I picked a few favorites and it just happens that many look good for napping too.

Note the cation on the pillow "The Roost"

Some seem suited for daydreaming too.

Do you have a reading nook?

  1. I have a window seat that I love to read in during the winter. I would love to have one with wall to wall bookshelves surrounding the space. These all seem so peaceful.

  2. aren't nooks just the best?! I had my bed in a nook as a teen and it was a wonderful enveloping place to sleep. I love the feeling of cozy.

  3. Nooks are amazing. I think humans like to feel cocooned and nurtured at some deep unconscious level, as these seem to have universal appeal!

David and I actually sleep most of the year in our tiny guest room. It's cool in summer and in a quiet part of the house, but the most appealing aspect is the coziness of the space and the tall book cases where I have all sorts of favorite things. Our master bedroom ends up being where I have all my clothes sprawled semi-permanently on the bed... ;)

  4. Some of these are fantastic! I think I could make similarly cool space in my upstairs hallway landing. It's a totally wasted space right now.

  7. We do in my son's room and I have a whole inboard full of these - love the coziness it offers and feeling cocooned in such a small comfy space is sheer heaven to me sometimes!
