When I was seven or so, I painted alongside my grandmother in a small section of her attic near a window. Even at that age I recognized the romance of the setting. My painting spot is not nearly as romantic and inspiring as these studios but it gets the job done.
I spent the weekend wrist deep in paint and I have blue hands and ruined nails to prove it.
Do you have an inspiring space to work in?
I would love to see where you paint, Kerry. You must receive inspiration from something because your work contains the most beautiful and inspiring colors.

I can see the appeal of these spaces Kerry, as an artist, I know you see inspiration in almost everything you do and see on a daily basis. As for me, my bedroom and craft room are my go-to space (in the summers the outdoors too). :-)
ReplyDeleteThese are such beautiful creative spaces ... would love to see how you pull it together! xo
ReplyDeleteI have always loved these type of spaces...to have an artist loft would be so fun!
ReplyDeleteI want to tear down our pergola in the back and build a studio / sunroom. Will show you when you all come out!

I can't wait to see your space. I have always dreamed of a walk up attic with a space to create. That never happened for me. I actually like to sew in my dining room. Other than that, it's the garage.
ReplyDeleteArtists studios are my love. Lots of light, lots of storage and lots of easels loaded with canvases! yum, artist porn.
